WAZZA.COM is a groundbreaking new website – developed in Australia – that is changing the face of online recruitment!
Unlike traditional online employment services, WAZZA.COM provides a portal for resumes rather than job advertisements.
WAZZA.COM’s fresh approach and world-first technology take the stress out of employment for both job seekers and employers, through offering free resume placement and free access for recruiters.
Employers can search WAZZA.COM’s comprehensive resume database and request applications from only the job seekers that meet specified criteria. This approach saves the job seeker unnecessary time and energy in not having to apply for positions they have no chance of getting; while it allows employers to be proactive in their recruitment, rather than relying on traditional job boards and hoping for the best!
In addition to turning online recruitment on its head, WAZZA.COM offers leading online resume services – including video resumes, a “call/SMS me” web-activated telephone system that allows immediate contact between employers and jobseekers.
How does WAZZA.COM work?
WAZZA.COM takes the stress out of employment by assisting employers to find the right person with minimal fuss – thereby saving both the employer and job seeker time and unnecessary effort. This is achieved through an easy-to-navigate online resume process, where the WAZZA.COM resume wizard requests key information from job seekers to support an extensive database and associated detailed search criteria.
In addition to showcasing resumes (individuals) rather than job advertisements (companies, agencies), WAZZA.COM also stands out from its competitors through its commitment to maintaining job seekers’ anonymity. All resumes are hosted using the job seekers’ first names only – no contact details are publicly accessible.
Video resumes
Video resumes are considered to be the “next big thing” in online recruitment. But while YOUTUBE.COM currently boasts some 1600 video resumes, specialist recruitment sites have been more cautious on the uptake. Except for WAZZA.COM, that is! WAZZA.COM is one of the WORLDS first recruitment website that not only facilitates but encourages the use of video resumes to give job seekers an edge in finding their ideal job.

“Call/SMS me” web-activated telephone system
Developed in conjunction with global communications company JAJAH, WAZZA.COM’s WazzaCall “call/SMS me” telephone technology allows employers to get in touch with job seekers – with minimum fuss and maximum privacy for both parties.
When an interested employer clicks the “call me” button on a prospective employee’s online resume, WAZZA.COM instantaneously calls that employee. When the employee picks up, WAZZA.COM plays the role of virtual operator by connecting the two parties while keeping all contact details private. The “SMS me” button works similarly by activating a text box where employers simply type their message and then click “Send”. This groundbreaking service is provided at a small cost to the employer.
Who is behind WAZZA.COM (and why)?
WAZZA.COM was developed by two Brisbane-based businessmen – Company Director Ian Rauber and web developer Adam Remar. Past bad recruitment experiences generated the initial idea, which was subsequently raised during a family barbecue. Ian’s enthusiasm and Adam’s expertise added fuel to fire and WAZZA.COM was born.
Ian Rauber
Ian is director of IH Constructions Pty Ltd, a small and successful domestic and commercial building and construction company, established almost 40 years ago. IH Constructions’ longevity has been in spite of the construction industry’s ongoing peaks and troughs and increasingly demanding Government legislation and guidelines.
Adam Remar
Adam is the founder of Character Web Pty Ltd, a Brisbane-based web consultancy providing clients with quality, cost-effective web solutions. Character Web also wholly owns the successful small business targeted website, MARKETINGMATE.COM.AU, which is one of Australia’s most efficient website, print and graphic design suppliers.
Where and when did WAZZA.COM get started?
WAZZA.COM was established in Brisbane, Australia in November 2006 and will be fully operational by May 2007. While the site is currently live, it is expected to take a few months to build a significant database of job seekers.
Why “WAZZA”?
Ian and Adam agonized over a name for many months…until they decided that the website character (and web assistant) would be a stress ball. Surely there’s no better name for a happy-go-lucky, Aussie-born stress (free) ball than WAZZA!
Wazza.com is the latest brain child of the RAR Group Pty Ltd, a privately held Australian company based in Brisbane, Australia. Wazza.com was established in November 2006. After extensive in-house development Wazza was first launched to directly assist both Job Seekers and Employers in April 2007.
